Book analysis- Across the Nightingale Floor I have read the book Across the Nightingale Floor. It is written by Lian Hear who has been studying modern languages and been to Japan many times. It was first published in 2002. It is a story about a forbidden love and revenge in an ancient land. I think the book is called "Across the nightingale floor" because Lord Iida is lying on a nightingale floor (that is a magic floor that only a few people can build. When you walk on it, it sound like a herd of nightingale birds sings) so that assassins can''''t kill him. He''''s a much hated man so it’s many people that would like to kill him.

In the second half of this period Across the Nightingale Floor, which I finished in September 2001, was going through the editorial process: hardly a sentence was changed in any of its editions. The first book in a stunning trilogy of historical/fantasy novels following Takeo, orphaned when a Warlord massacres his village.
